2023

Biden-Harris administration provides more than $11 million for water sustainability and efficiency as part of Investing in America agenda (April 23, 2024) - The Bureau of Reclamation today announced an $11.1 million investment from President Biden’s Investing in America agenda to support collaborative planning and design projects that improve water sustainability and efficiency. The 34 grants through Reclamation’s WaterSMART program will support projects in 11 states and Guam. Funding for these grants is provided through President’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Read More →

Water Marketing Strategy Grants

2021

Reclamation provides $1.14 million to help communities develop water marketing strategies (July 1, 2021) - The Bureau of Reclamation is awarding $1.14 million in WaterSMART Water Marketing Grants to seven projects in California, Colorado, Utah, and Washington. These grants will provide cost-shared financial assistance for the selected entities to develop water marketing strategies to establish or expand water markets or water marketing activities.Read More →

Bureau of Reclamation awards $2 million to ten projects to develop water marketing strategies (Nov 12, 2019) - The Bureau of Reclamation today announced awards totaling $2 million to ten projects to establish or expand water markets or water marketing activities. When non-federal cost-share contributions are included, these projects will accomplish more than $4.6 million in water marketing planning activities. Read More →

Bureau of Reclamation awards $1.3 million to seven projects to develop water market strategies in their communities (October 4, 2018) - Bureau of Reclamation Commissioner Brenda Burman announced that Reclamation has awarded $1.3 million to seven projects to establish or expand water markets or water marketing activities. Bureau of Reclamation Awards Nine Projects $2.1 Million for Planning Activities in the Development of WaterSMART Water Marketing Strategies (September 5, 2017) - Bureau of Reclamation Acting Commissioner Alan Mikkelsen announced that nine projects will receive $2.1 million for planning activities to help establish or expand water markets or water marketing transactions.
