Fishing

Fishing is a popular activity. All participants in this activity must possess a valid fishing licenses and observe the Freshwater Sport Fishing regulations of the State of California. Birding

Lake Berryessa is a fantastic site for bird watching. Nesting Bald Eagles are visible across the Lake and East Side Road provides fantastic opportunities to observe raptors on open grasslands.

Hunting

43 CFR Part 423 prohibits hunting on all Reclamation on Federal Property. An exception is made for our Feral Pig Hunt. Reclamation is partnering with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Shared Habitat Alliance for Recreational Enhancement (SHARE) Program to establish a feral pig hunt on designated areas to establish a feral pig hunt on designated areas of Lake Berryessa.
