Day Use

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation operates a number of Day Use Areas along the Western Shore of Lake Berryessa including Eticuera, Pope Creek, Smittle Creek, Oak Shores, Capell Cove, and Olive Orchard Day Use Areas. They are open during daylight hours.

Oak Shores Day Use is open from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm during winter and 7:30 am – 8:00 pm during summer. Oak Shores has Parking tickets sold at Kiosks in the Sothern parking areas for $5 a day.

Oak Shores Day Use Area offers six large group shade shelters at Acorn Beach, Foxtail Flat, and Coyote Beach. Group shelters can be reserved for groups of up to 50 for $33, per shelter per day, at recreation.gov. Please note, between Memorial day and Labor Day, Day Use Areas fill up quickly on weekends and holidays. Arriving before noon, or earlier, is advised.
