Post-2026 Operational Guidelines and Strategies for Lake Powell and Lake Mead – Decision Documents

Reclamation has released the Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Post-2026 Operational Guidelines and Strategies for Lake Powell and Lake Mead. A Notice of Availability of the Final EIS has been published in the Federal Register on July 31, 2026. The Final EIS is available for viewing or downloading at this website.

The Department of the Interior expects to issue both the Record of Decision and associated operating guidelines before operations begin on October 1, 2026.
