An educational simulation of PID control applied to canal check gates

PIDSim is an educational simulator for examining the behavior of PID control applied to canal check gates.  The programs algorithms contain many gross assumptions, so the software is not suitable for actual design of controllers.

• Download PIDSim, version 1.12 - The file you download is a self-extracting executable file containing the setup kit for the program.  The program operates in all versions of Microsoft Windows. Version 1.12 makes PIDSim compatible with non-U.S. conventions for the use of the comma and period as decimal point and thousands separator.

• Download companion tutorial exercises that use PIDSim to demonstrate automatic water level or flow rate control of canals.
