Design and performance of infiltration galleries intregrated into constructed rock riffles.

Project ID: 686
Principal Investigator: Brent Mefford
Research Topic: Fish Passage and Entrainment
Funded Fiscal Years: 2004
Keywords: None

Research Question

Can we integrate a constructed rock riffle and an infiltration gallery to protect fish and provide low maintenance gravity diversion?

Need and Benefit

This research will lead to better reliability of water supply through improved methods of protecting riverine inhabitants. The study will develop a new technology that can replace many existing small gravity diversions with a structure that permits passage and prevents entrainment of aquatic species.
