Stony Gorge Recreation Area
ELK CREEK, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces summer operating hours at Stony Gorge Reservoir starting April 15, through October 15, 2025.
Due to current staffing levels, Stony Gorge Reservoir will offer limited recreational openings this summer. The Pines Group Camping Site and all general campsites are closed until further notice.
Stony Gorge Reservoir recreation areas that will be open include:
Skippers’ Point Day Use Area – Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This day use area is available for fishing, hiking, wildlife watching, and picnicking from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.
Slip Disc, Disc Golf Course – Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The disc golf course is open and available from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.
Pines Day Use Area – Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This day use area is available for hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, and picnicking from sunrise until sunset throughout the year.
Skippers’ Point Boat Launch – Open daily from 4 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This area will over the boat launch, restroom facilities, picnic tables and water access.
