Hunting

Hunting is permitted at New Melones Lake, but only in designated areas. Hunting is not permitted in developed recreation areas, security areas, or specially designated “no hunting” areas. These areas include Glory Hole Recreation Area, Tuttletown Recreation Area, New Melones Administration and Mark Twain Day-Use Area, and the Dam, Powerhouse, and Spillway Area.
