Belle Fourche Resource Management Plan

The U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) has completed a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) on the environmental assessment (EA) for the implementation of the final Resource Management Plan (RMP) for Belle Fourche Reservoir (BFR). Reclamation prepared these documents in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA; 42 U.S. Code 4321, et seq.), the Council on Environmental Quality’s Regulations for Implementing the Procedural Provisions of NEPA (40 Code of Federal Regulations [CFR] 1500–1508), the U.S. Department of the Interior’s NEPA regulations (43 CFR 46), and other relevant federal and state laws and regulations. No significant issues were identified; therefore, Reclamation has signed the FONSI and will proceed with the implementation of the RMP for BFR.
