Infiltration Gallery Database

Project ID: 7020
Principal Investigator: Richard Fuerst
Research Topic: Fish Passage and Entrainment
Funded Fiscal Years: 2005
Keywords: None

Research Question

The research would answer the question of whether infiltration galleries can be successful over the long term in providing a reliable source of water in certain water/soil conditions.

Need and Benefit

Reclamation has designed and built only a few infiltration galleries. Therefore, information as to the success or failure of these projects is very limited. To statistically determine if infiltration galleries work in various conditions, a larger database (private sector or other agency) is required from which to make recommendations. To date, there is no database constructed in Reclamation that provides all the information in one location where it can be sorted and studied for trends.
