Switching Block for Diving

Project ID: 4
Principal Investigator: Ryan Hedrick
Research Topic: Public and Employee Safety
Funded Fiscal Years: 2016
Keywords: None

Research Question

Will using a switch block be a more safe and effective way to switch over to our secondary air to improve safety and reduce risks?

Need and Benefit

Due to safety regulations by OSHA we are required to have a separate air source when diving. At this time we carry a separate bottle and regulator which requires us to take our full face masks completely off which leaves us without any visuals unless we go to a separate mask to get to this separate air source.
