Odessa Ground Water Replacement Program Radial Gates
With the addition of the new siphons in the East Low Canal, seven radial gate structures are necessary to help control the increased flow.
Lind Coulee Siphon No. 1 and Lind Coulee Wasteway Radial Gates Project

Reclamation’s Technical Service Center designed the new radial gate and hoists structures for the radial gates project. In 2016, the East Columbia Basin Irrigation District administered the contract for the purchase and fabrication of the gates, hoists, and control panels. The district also installed the new infrastructure.
In 2019, Reclamation purchased the remaining five radial gates, hoists, and control panels. They are as follows:
Kansas Prairie No. 1 and Kansas Prairie No. 2 Radial Gates Project
Installation of the Kansas Prairie No. 1 radial gate.
Reclamation administered the contract for the purchase and fabrication of the gates, hoists, and control panels. ECBID completed gate and hoist installation in March 2022.
Warden Radial Gate Project
Construction crews are preparing to install the Warden Radial Gate.
Reclamation orchestrated the contract for the purchase and fabrication of the gate, hoist, and control panel. ECBID finalized gate and hoist installation in March 2022.
EL71.5 Check Structure No. 1 and EL71.5 Check Structure No. 2 Radial Gates Project
Reclamation orchestrated the contract for the purchase and fabrication of the gates, hoists, and control panels. ECBID completed construction of the new corbels in March 2023 and finalized installation of the gates and hoists in January 2024.
