Royal Slope Power Transmission Line Project
Royal Slope Solar LLC, a subsidiary of Clearway Energy Group, has requested a land use authorization license from Reclamation to construct, operate, and maintain electrical power lines and associated access roads on Reclamation-administered land. The 230-kilovolt electrical power line would transmit electricity from a solar power generation facility on private land, across Reclamation-administered land, to the Vantage substation, located east of Wanapum Dam in Grant County, Washington. The final environmental assessment considers two alternative routes for the transmission line.
Reclamation invited the public to review and comment on the draft EA during a 15-day public comment period that ended on March 6, 2026. The draft EA also served to provide notice and request public input on potential effects on historic properties in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, 36 CFR 800.2(d).
