Scooteney Park and Campground

Scooteney Park and Campground are located at 800 Scooteney Park Road in Connell, Wash., approximately 7 miles northwest of Connell off State Highway 17 in Franklin County. The day-use area of the park is open during daylight hours year-round, while the campground is open to overnight use from mid-April through mid-October.

The campground offers 36 first-come, first-served sites, including one ADA/ABA accessible site. Amenities include paved parking pads, picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, restrooms (flush and vault), and a dump station. Generators may be used from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Please note that there are no RV hookups or showers. Quiet hours are reserved and enforced from 10 p.m. through 7 a.m.; generators must be turned off during this time. To power medical equipment during quiet hours, please contact the park ranger or camp host to make arrangements prior to your stay.

Camping fees are $15 per night, or $7.50 per night with the Golden Age Passport or Access Pass, and reservations are not available. At this time, payment may be made by cash or check; however, the campground will transition to an electronic self‑pay kiosk in the near future.

Not Permitted at Scooteney Park & Campground

  • Fireworks
  • Firearms, including hunting and target practice
  • Swimming and diving are prohibited at all docks
  • Camping outside designated camping areas
  • Cutting or gathering firewood
  • Open fires during posted fire restrictions (follow on-site notices)
  • Drone operation (unmanned aircraft systems) without authorization
  • Entry into restricted or fenced-off areas
  • Littering or leaving trash outside designated receptacles
  • Commercial activities or events without an approved permit
