SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation announces the continuation of public negotiations with the Sites Project Authority for an Excess Capacity Contract for the proposed Sites Reservoir Project, a new 1.5 million acre-foot offstream reservoir approximately 10 miles west of Maxwell, Calif. for water storage, conveyance, and service. The Excess Capacity Contract supports the reservoir project by outlining the terms and conditions to which each party must adhere regarding the conveyance of water through federal facilities.
As needed, Reclamation and the Sites Authority will also continue negotiations for the Sites Partnership Agreement, to which the Excess Capacity Contract is planned as an Exhibit.
