Reclamation announces public meeting to discuss Buffalo Bill Reservoir water supply and water operations

MILLS, Wyo. – The Bureau of Reclamation has scheduled a Buffalo Bill Reservoir Water Information Meeting at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at the Homesteader Meeting Room at the Park County Fairgrounds, located at 655 E. 5th Street in Powell, Wyoming.

Discussion topics will include current water supply conditions, the 2026 snowmelt runoff forecast, and projected reservoir operations for 2026.

Buffalo Bill Reservoir near Cody, Wyoming, has a storage capacity of 646,565 acre-feet and provides irrigation water to approximately 95,000 acres.  It is a source of municipal water supply to multiple communities, and its power generation facilities provide electricity to thousands of homes.
