CHESTER, Mont. — The Bureau of Reclamation is hosting a public meeting to seek input into potential improvements to Tiber Marina located at Tiber Reservoir. The meeting will be held at 1st Street Mercantile in Chester, MT on Feb. 24, 2026, at 6 p.m. There will be an option to attend the meeting virtually for people that cannot make the meeting in-person or in case of inclement weather.

The Tiber Marina currently offers camping and day use facilities; seasonal boat and trailer storage; a courtesy boat dock; gasoline and motor oil sales; sale of groceries, snacks, sundries, fishing and camping supplies.  The proposed improvements aim to increase recreational opportunities by increasing campsites and parking, an improved boat ramp and a new concessionaire building.  These proposed upgrades would increase the financial feasibility of maintaining a concessionaire at the site in addition to enhancing the overall experience for the recreating public at Tiber Marina.

In July 2025, Reclamation held an initial public scoping meeting at the Tiber Marina to solicit feedback on existing facilities at the site.  During the meeting members of the public voiced their concerns with existing facilities and provided input into what facilities they would like to see improved or added to the site.  Based on that initial feedback, Reclamation developed an overall master plan for Tiber Marina.

Reclamation will be soliciting public feedback on the proposed improvements for 30 days until March 10, 2026.  To submit a comment, please email Cody Hendrix at chendrix@usbr.gov. Reclamation will also take formal comments during the public meeting on Feb. 24. The proposed Master Plan and site layout map as well as access to the Microsoft Teams meeting information can be found below:
