BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Bureau of Reclamation is inviting public comments on a draft environmental assessment analyzing potential impacts of right-of-way requests from the City of Henderson. This proposal involves a utilities and drainage project located near East Lake Mead Parkway and Lake Las Vegas Parkway in the City of Henderson, Clark County, Nevada.
Henderson is requesting both a permanent right-of-way grant (approximately 25.4 acres) and a short-term right-of-way (also approximately 25.4 acres) for access and construction staging. The project will include the construction of new temporary and permanent trail segments, stormwater and flood control infrastructure, and other municipal infrastructure such as sewer, potable water supply, power, gas, and telecommunications. These components will be placed within the proposed permanent right-of-way.
The draft environmental assessment reviews potential impacts from actions taken to implement this right-of-way near East Lake Mead Parkway and Lake Las Vegas Parkway.
