P2IP Final PEA and FONSI

The Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and Bonneville Power Administration have finalized the programmatic Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Phase 2 Implementation Plan (P2IP): Testing Feasibility of Salmon Reintroduction in the Upper Columbia River Basin.

The final programmatic EA evaluates the potential environmental impacts of federal support for P2IP actions proposed by the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Spokane Tribe of Indians, Coeur d’Alene Tribe, and the Upper Columbia United Tribes.

Following a comprehensive review of the environmental consequences and consultation with affected agencies, Tribes, organizations, and the public, each co-lead agency determined that the Proposed Action will not significantly affect the quality of the human environment, or natural and cultural resources. As a result, each agency has issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI).
