Environmental Documents Available for Renewal of 18 Interim Water Service Contracts

The Bureau of Reclamation announces the availability of the Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) and the Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed renewal of 18 interim water service contracts. The proposed interim contracts would extend delivery of CVP water for a term of 1 year, and could deliver up to 197,498 acre-feet of CVP water.
The Draft SEA and FONSI were prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and are available for a 30-day public review and comment period. Reclamation has tentatively determined that an Environmental Impact Statement is not required before entering into the proposed interim renewal contracts. Interim water service contractors covered under these draft documents are: El Dorado Irrigation District, San Juan Water District, Broadview Water District, City of Tracy, Westlands Water District Distribution District No. 1, Westlands Water District Distribution District No. 2, Pajaro Valley Water Management Agency, Santa Clara Valley Water District, County of Fresno, Hills Valley Irrigation District, Kern-Tulare Water District, Lower Tule River Irrigation District, Pixley Irrigation District, Rag Gulch Water District, Tri-Valley Water District, and the County of Tulare.
