Bureau of Reclamation Schedules Helena Meeting

The Bureau of Reclamation will conduct a public meeting to provide information about upcoming plans to modernize the spillway structure on Canyon Ferry Dam. According to Dan Jewell, Montana Area Manager for Reclamation, improvements to the 50-year-old dam's spillway gates and piers are necessary to meet contemporary design and construction standards. The public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Room 307 at the East Valley Middle School, 401 Kalispell, East Helena. Information regarding the planning and design process leading up to actual construction will be presented. Interested persons are encouraged to attend.
