Title: Colusa Indian Community Council Compton Diversion Fish Screen Project
Summary: Reclamation proposes to provide cost-share funding to Colusa Indian Community Council (CICC) through the Anadromous Fish Screen Program (AFSP) to screen CICC?s existing 22 cubic feet per second unscreened diversion on the Sacramento River with a conical fish screen that meets the National Marine Fisheries Service?s and California Department of Fish and Wildlife?s design requirements. The Project is needed to minimize diversion impacts to out-migrating anadromous fish on the Sacramento River without impairing the ability of CICC to divert water, consistent with their existing water rights. The fish screen would be placed at the existing intake off the river and would not increase CICC?s overall diversion capacity from the Sacramento River.
