Project Details
Title: Golden Gate Salmon Association Project B.11 ? Sacramento River Stranding
Summary: Reclamation wants to stabilize releases from Keswick Dam during October to reduce salmon spawning and juvenile rearing/holding in areas subject to dewatering in November and December. As an experimental effort, Reclamation proposes to operate Shasta and Keswick Dams to provide lower flows in October and higher flows in November and/or December than would otherwise occur. To facilitate these flow changes, and over the span of three years, Reclamation proposes to enter into one-year agreements as necessary with GCID and RD108, with the potential for additional Settlement Contractors to participate in subsequent years of this pilot Project.
