Title: Delta Cross Channel Temporary Closure Multi-Year Study
Summary: Reclamation is proposing to close the Delta Cross Channel (DCC) gates for up to 10 days during the first half of October over the next five years (2012 through 2016). The purpose of the proposed action is to evaluate the effects of short term modifications to DCC gate operations on reduction of Mokelumne River fall-run Chinook salmon straying. Reclamation would evaluate in-season water quality modeling to ensure compliance with water quality standards and minimization of potential impacts to water supply to determine the duration of the closure.
