Work is complete on new facilities at the Pine Marina at Navajo State Park in New Mexico. The Pine Marina concessionaire is Navajo Dam Enterprises, owned by Margaret Vandervalk and operated by her son Jarret Johnson. The new facilities include a boat shop, office, rental office, a restaurant/cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, new bathrooms and numerous storage areas for supplies. They also included a “pond” for kids to fish in, a fish feeding station, a fountain and water jets for kids to play in. The new marina includes an expanded, wider dock that meets American’s with Disabilities Act compliance.

Navajo Dam Enterprises has operated the marina for about three years. They provide watercraft sales and rentals as well as house boat rentals. The new construction has expanded the marina from 2,000 to 6,000 square feet. The old marina building will be rented out as a community building. Navajo Enterprises employs about 30 people at the Pine Marina.
