Proposed Warren Act Contract with the City of Roseville Available for Public Review

The Bureau of Reclamation and the City of Roseville have completed negotiations for a contract under the Warren Act for the use of Reclamation's Folsom Reservoir to convey a total of up to 30,000 acre-feet per year of non-Central Valley Project (Project) water when excess capacity exists. The water is being made available by the Placer County Water Agency from its Middle Fork Project. The contract has a term of 25 years and is available for a 60-day public review and comment period.

The Warren Act of February 21, 1911, authorized the United States to execute contracts for the conveyance and storage of non-Project water in Federal facilities when excess capacity exists.
