Grouting and drilling continues at Upper Stillwater Dam, a Bureau of Reclamation facility near Mountain Home, Utah. The work, awarded to ASI RCC, Inc., of Buena Vista, Colorado, began on September 24, 2003 and is ongoing. The work will consist of installing stainless steel and asphalt in three cracks to provide a water stop in the structure. They are preparing to start drilling the pilot hole, which will be expanded into a slot for the water stop.

The work also consists of drilling and chemical grouting several cracks in the Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam. They are presently chemical grouting holes that have been drilled from the gallery and on the upstream face of the dam. When the cracks have been grouted, drain holes are drilled to remove any other water in the dam.

Upper Stillwater was built in 1987, and is a roller compacted concrete-gravity dam. It has a hydralic height of 182 feet and holds back a reservoir of 32,496 acre-feet of water.
