Winter work at Pineview Dam is being overseen by the Bureau of Reclamation. W.W. Clyde & Co., a contractor hired by the Reclamation to do renovation at the dam, is removing material from a borrow area for stockpiling. The stockpiled material will be placed into the downstream berm of Pineview Dam beginning in April or May 2004, completing Safety of Dams work at the dam. Reclamation does not expect this last phase of work to interfere with traffic near or across the dam.

Pineview Dam is a zoned, earth and rock-filled structure. It was constructed in 1936 and enlarged in 1957. Pineview Dam is located 7 miles east of Ogden Utah, in Weber County.
