WASHINGTON – Commissioner of Reclamation Brenda Burman released the following statement on President Donald J. Trump's State of the Union Address.

"In 2018, President Trump directed Reclamation to further improve the reliability of water supplies for Americans in the West and we’re doing just that. At Reclamation, we worked with our partners to bring more water certainty in light of drought in important basins like the Colorado River; coordinated with regulatory agencies to improve operational flexibility of our water projects; worked to bring clean drinking water to rural and tribal communities; and have pushed to expand and improve much needed water infrastructure throughout the West. As directed by the President, we will continue to fight for more reliable water supplies for farms, communities, and fish and wildlife."
