Boulder City, Nev. — The Bureau of Reclamation issued a Draft Environmental Assessment today for the Hoover Dam Fiber Optic Cable Replacement Project. The location of the proposed Project is in Boulder City, NV between the Boulder City Communications Tap Substation and U.S. Highway 93/Nevada Way near Colorado Street.

The cable replacement is needed to update the communication capability among Reclamation’s Lower Colorado Regional Office, Hoover Dam, and other Reclamation-managed dams on the Colorado River.
