NAPA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation’s Central California Area Office will reopen the Capell Cove Boat Launch at Lake Berryessa on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017. Reclamation closed the boat launch on Aug. 8, 2016, when drought conditions and receding water levels caused it to become unusable. Lake levels have now risen to the point where the boat launch can be re-opened.

For the 2017 recreation season, five of the seven recreation areas at Lake Berryessa will be open, with ramps available for visitor use at Pleasure Cove Marina, Markley Cove Resort, and the Putah Canyon, Steele Canyon and Spanish Flat recreation areas. Please find the locations of these areas on the map at www.usbr.gov/mp/ccao/berryessa/maps/berryessa-map.pdf .
