SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Bureau of Reclamation has released an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for the Rosedale – Rio Bravo Water Storage District Water Conservation, Energy Efficiency, and Solar Power Project.
The EA details Reclamation’s proposed grant of $300,000 to the District, partially funding the installation of a polymer lining on approximately 1 mile of the West Intake Canal, and three variable-frequency drive units to improve pumping efficiency on three wells in the Enns groundwater recharge area. Also, flow control structures and meters along irrigation ditches, as well as solar pumping units in existing irrigation wells, will be installed at the District’s Onyx Ranch property.
The EA and FONSI are available for download on Reclamation’s website at: http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=24215. If you encounter problems accessing the document, please call 916-978-5100 or email mppublicaffairs@usbr.gov.
