Central Valley Project Improvement Act – Accounting and Cost Recovery Business Practice Guidelines Workshop

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation will hold a second public workshop to continue review and revision of the Business Practices Guidelines (BPG) for Central Valley Project Improvement Act (CVPIA) Program Accounting and Cost Recovery. The event will be held:

10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – State Cost Share
12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. – Power Market History and Challenges
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – CVPIA Accounting and Cost Recovery Items

The morning session will review the Sharing of Costs Agreement for Mitigation Projects and Improvements addressing the CVPIA cost-share requirements with the state of California.

The afternoon session will begin at 12:30 p.m. with a half-hour description of power markets and the relationship of the Restoration Fund to the costs of CVP power. At 1 p.m., the workshop will walk through Reclamation-identified areas for further consideration and solicit feedback on other aspects to evaluate.
