Reclamation Announces Meetings on Crow Irrigation Project

BILLINGS, Mont. -- The Bureau of Reclamation's Great Plains Region, in cooperation with the Crow Tribe and Bureau of Indian Affairs, today announced times and locations of public open houses for the Rehabilitation and Improvement of Crow Irrigation Project (CIP).
The open houses are part of the scoping process for an environmental review of the Rehabilitation and Improvement of Crow Irrigation Project under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA).
Public open houses will be held at:
Wyola: Wyola District Hall, Wyola, Mont.; Mon., Feb. 3, 6 to 9 p.m.;
Crow Agency: Multi-purpose Building, Crow Agency, Mont., 59022; Feb. 4, 6 to 9 p.m.;
Billings: Crow Tribe Sub Office, 711 Central Ave., Billings, MT 59102, Feb. 5, 6-9 p.m.
An open house for government agencies will be held at:
Billings, Crow Tribe Sub Office, 711 Central Ave., Billings, Mont., 59102; Feb. 5, 12 to 3 p.m.
The open houses will be hosted by the Crow Tribe, Bartlett & West, Reclamation and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Representatives for the project will be on hand to provide project information, answer questions, and take comments from the public and agencies. Information on the environmental analysis for the project is available at: http://www.usbr.gov/gp/nepa/cip/index.html.
The scoping period will run through February 28, during which time scoping comments will be accepted.
