Siren Test at Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel and Plant

English: The Bureau of Reclamation will test its warning sirens at the Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel Treatment Plant on January 9, 2014, starting at noon.

The sirens and emergency warning system at the drainage tunnel and treatment plant are tested every few years as part of Reclamation's regular maintenance program. The sirens and warning system were installed to enhance notification of East Fork residents in the unlikely event of an emergency.

The Drainage Tunnel and Treatment Plant continue to function as designed and are performing safely.
