Reclamation Continues Negotiations with the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District for Long-Term Water Service Contract Renewal

The Bureau of Reclamation is continuing negotiations with the Sacramento Municipal Utilities District on contract terms and conditions for renewal of their existing long-term water service contract from within the American River Division of the Central Valley Project. This renewal contract will be updated to reflect existing law and policy governing Reclamation water service contracts. The goal of the negotiations is to arrive at a mutually agreeable long-term contract.

The following sessions are scheduled to continue the negotiations. Both sessions will be held at Reclamation’s Central California Area Office, 7794 Folsom Dam Road, Folsom, CA 95630.

  • Monday, January 30, 2012, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Due to security requirements, individuals are asked to preregister two days in advance by contacting Lucille Billingsley at 916-989-7121 (TTY 916-989-7285) or lbillingsley@usbr.gov. Attendees will be required to show a photo ID in order to obtain a visitor’s badge.

The public is welcome to attend the negotiations and will have the opportunity to provide comments to Reclamation regarding this contracting action; participation instructions will be available at each session. The proposed contract and other pertinent documents will also be available at each session.
