Centennial Job Corps Center Honors Graduates

The Centennial Job Corps Center will host a graduation ceremony for students who have successfully completed the program. The morning program is set for Thursday, January 27. This month's s guest speaker will be Commissioner John Keys from the Bureau of Reclamation.

What: Centennial Job Corps Center graduation ceremony.

When: Thursday, January 27, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Where: Centennial Job Corps Center is located at 3201 Ridgecrest Drive in Nampa, Idaho. The graduation ceremony will be held in the campus gymnasium. All visitors and guests are asked to check in at the Administration Building prior to touring the campus.

Why: This brief ceremony will honor 11 students who successfully completed the Job Corps program. The Job Corps program also marked its 40th anniversary this past year, having started with Congressional approval in 1964 under President Lyndon B. Johnson.

The Bureau of Reclamation's Pacific Northwest Region manages three Job Corps Centers under an agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor. Those centers include: Centennial Job Corps Center, Nampa, Idaho; Columbia Basin Job Corps Center, Moses Lake, Washington, and Ft. Simcoe Job Corps Center, White Swan, Washington.
