Draft Environmental Assessment Available for the Contract on Conveyance of Non-Central Valley Project Water for Kern-Tulare Water District and Rag Gulch Water District

Reclamation announces the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) to execute a 1-year Warren Act Contract for 2008. The proposed contract is on the conveyance of 20,000 acre-feet of non-Central Valley Project water into the Friant-Kern Canal for delivery to Kern Tulare and Rag Gulch Water Districts.

The Draft EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act and is available for a 15-day public review and comment at http://www.usbr.gov/mp/nepa/nepa_project_details.php?Project_ID=2993.
