SONORA, Calif. – The Bureau of Reclamation has amended the New Melones Concession Prospectus, which is posted on the Federal Business Opportunity website (www.fbo.gov). The Concession Prospectus provides a business opportunity for the development of new, long-term commercial recreation services and support facilities in an expanded area within the New Melones Lake’s Glory Hole Recreation Area.
On Dec. 10, Reclamation announced this business opportunity for marina concession development and operation at New Melones Lake. Reclamation requested proposals from interested parties for the development and long-term management and operation of concession facilities and services at the Glory Hole Recreation Area. The business will be conducted under the terms and conditions of a concession contract between the successful bidder and Reclamation.

Additional required services include retail sales, overnight cabin/yurt sites, full-service RV sites, on-site parking, dry boat storage and marine mechanic services. Land-based support facilities will include paved and unpaved roads, a marina access ramp, parking lots, lighting, restroom facilities and landscaping. Reclamation will provide some facilities.
Under the amended Concession Prospectus, proposals will be accepted from Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, to Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015.
