SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On Sunday, Aug. 4, the Bureau of Reclamation will celebrate the 4th anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act by waiving day use fees at directly managed areas at New Melones Lake, Lake Berryessa, and Stony Gorge Reservoir.
Other fees such as overnight camping, boat launching, and fees associated with concession managed areas, will still apply.
Since the implementation of the GAOA in 2021, tremendous progress has been made in preserving and enhancing the quality of our public lands for everyone. Through the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund, GAOA helps the Department of the Interior complete maintenance and repair projects, large-scale infrastructure improvements, historic preservation activities, and improve accessibility features.
