Title: Independence Lake Forest Thinning and Hazardous Fuels Reduction EA
Summary: Reclamation proposes to approve the Nature Conservancy to utilize Desert Terminal Lake grant funding to conduct forest thinning and hazardous fuels reduction at Independence Lake. The purpose of the project is to protect the lake?s water quality and native fishery (including the federally listed Lahontan cutthroat trout) by implementing forest health activities to reduce the risk of damage from high severity wildfire that could affect water quality.
