Summary: | This Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared to examine the potential direct, indirect, and cumulative impacts to the affected environment associated with awarding a WaterSMART grant to Buena Vista Water Storage District (BVWSD). The Buena Vista Water Storage District would use the funding to purchase and install equipment for Section One of their Northern Area Project ( AP). Section One of the NAP primarily involves the installation of approximately 10 miles of buried pipeline to move water through the district and service agricultural production. The BVWSD lies in the trough of California?s southern San Joaquin Valley, approximately 16 miles west of the City of Bakersfield. |
