Get W.E.T. (Water Education Today) 2010

The Bureau of Reclamation will be hosting the 9th Annual Get W.E.T. (Water Education Today) event at the Central California Area Office’s American River Water Education Center at Folsom Dam.

Get W.E.T. is a fun event for the whole family to become aware of the importance of our water and conservation. You don’t really get wet, but you get W.E.T. (Water Education Today). Our goal is to encourage water conservation education and appreciation for the management of our water resources.

Various cities, counties, and local water districts, as well as other agencies and organizations will sponsor the water conservation theme through games, interactive activities, water conservation booths and various prizes.

This is a free event scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2010 from 10:00am – 3:00pm. The first 50 visitors to check-in at the Passport Booth will receive a reusable “Water Cycle” bag. Free parking is available.

The facility is located at:

7785 Folsom-Auburn Road at Folsom Dam Road, Folsom, CA, and is accessible via the bike path.
