Planning for the Future
The Water for America Initiative includes a planning component to meet one of the Initiative's three strategies for securing water in the 21st century - "Plan for Our Nation's Water Future." This component includes the Basin Studies, which are a new activity, and Reclamation's Investigations Program, which is an ongoing activity. The President's budget for FY 2009 requests $4 million for Basin Studies and $4 million for the Investigations Program.
