Arizona Game and Fish Department
Mr. Senn is a long-tenured employee with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, serving the Department most recently as its Assistant Director for Field Operations. Upon the promotion of Mr. Bob Broscheid to the position of Deputy Director, Mr. Senn assumed the leadership for the Department’s Wildlife Management Division. The Division houses the five wildlife program branches for the Department, all of which have direct relationship to fish and wildlife resources in Glen and Grand canyons. Those branches provide leadership for Fish and Wildlife Research directly involved in investigations in the project area; Nongame Management, including threatened and endangered species; Fish and Wildlife Habitat, including interagency coordination on wildlife conservation; and Sport Fish Management.
Mr. Senn has a degree in wildlife biology from the Arizona State University and has been professionally employed in that field for 20 years. His work has spanned the gamut of responsibilities from district Wildlife Manager; Habitat Specialist; Sector Supervisor supervising a cadre of wildlife biologists and enforcement officers; Regional Coordinator facilitating the management of the field force of Wildlife Managers in the State of Arizona; to leadership and supervision of the Department’s Field Operations Division and serving the Department’s Executive Leadership staff. His skills range from technical to policy level analysis and decision making.
Mr. Senn has served the Department for nearly 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility. He now serves as a member of the Departments Executive Leadership Staff leading the Wildlife Management Division. A recognized conservation leader in Arizona, Mr. Senn is a graduate of the National Conservation Leadership Institute established by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
Mr. Senn’s experience in wildlife management; public policy development and implementation; and leadership makes him an excellent candidate to replace Mr. Broscheid as the Arizona Game and Fish Department representative to the Glen Canyon Dam Adaptive Management Work Group.
