Amy Heuslein, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Environmental Quality Services

Amy is the Environmental Protection Officer Branch Chief, Environmental Quality Services Branch in the BIA's Western Regional Office located in Phoenix, Arizona. From 1978 to 1985, she worked for the Bureau of Land Management, first under the Cooperative Education Program in Bishop,California (summer), and then as a Wildlife Biologist in Sacramento, CA, and Las Cruces, NM (1980-82). In 1982 she went to Wildlife Management School in Phoenix. After that, she went to work for the Bureau of Land Management in Farmington, NM (1982- 84), and then to Vernal, Utah as an Environmental Scientist for the BLM. From 1986 to 1990 she worked for BIA as an Environmental Protection Specialist, Hazardous Waste Coordinator, and Federal Women's Program Manager. Amy has been the BIA representative for the GCD EIS process for the last eight years.

Education: B.A., Biology, Stephens College, Columbia, Missouri (1980).
