Upper Colorado Region
Ann Gold has been a Deputy Regional Director for the Bureau of Reclamation’s Upper Colorado Region since November 2007. Prior to that, she served as a Special Assistant to Reclamation’s Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Administration and Budget for five years. In this capacity, Ann and led or was involved in numerous assignments related to organizational studies, budget formulation, competitive sourcing, acquisitions, human capital, DOI-wide management initiatives, and other administrative issues.
Ann began her career with the Soil Conservation Service (now Natural Resource Conservation Service), and worked for the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, prior to moving to Reclamation’s Upper Colorado Region in 1983, where she served in a variety of Human Resource positions including Regional Human Resources Officer, from 1997 to 2002. Ann also served as Reclamation’s Human Resources Officer for approximately 10 months in 2005-2006. She has 30 years of Federal service.
Ann has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Utah. She has been through Reclamation’s Leadership Development Program and is currently in DOI’s SES Candidate Development Program. She has also received the Department of the Interior’s Superior Service Award. Ann was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, is married, has 2 step-children and 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 7 to 19.
