Jerry Cox is a geologist with Four Corners Geoscience, working on a state mandated groundwater testing associated with the Fruitland coalbed methane development in La Plata County, Colorado. Jerry has also worked as an exploration geologist for Carlin type disseminated gold deposits and molybdenum porphyry deposits. He worked as a field engineer in the PrudhoeBay field, in all phases of above ground arctic pipeline construction. Jerry has a Bachelor of Science (1979) from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
Jerry has worked as a commercial boatman in Grand Canyon National Park and many other locations throughout the Colorado Plateau providing geologic, natural and human history, ecologic, and archeological interpretation for the past 20 years. His many years as a river guide in Grand Canyon provide a unique perspective stemming from his first hand knowledge of river resources.
