Partnering Opportunities
Join our partnerships with Reclamation's scientists, project managers, outside experts, and industry to shorten the path between research and applying solutions to address the manifold challenges of water management in the West. Working together, we can develop solutions that meet the greatest number of needs at the least cost and least time to all partnership members.
Researchers
Are you looking for opportunities to work directly with the end user of your research and development? Do you want to make sure that your R&D is valued and put to work making a difference for water in the West?
Contact us so that we can work together to develop successful, innovative solutions to water and power problems.
- Review Science and Technology Program proposals (and partner with our Reclamation researchers on these projects) for technical merit.
- Work with us on Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) to address natural resources issues in an ecosystem context.
- Submit Desalination and Water Purification research proposals to develop more cost-effective, technologically efficient ways to desalinate water.
- Develop interagency agreements (IAs) to address region-wide research needs.
Businesses and Industry
Work with our Technology Transfer Program to market our available inventions and patents and enter into research agreements.
Laboratories and Facilities
Reclamation offers several research laboratory facilities for research into hydraulics, materials testing, water treatment, and more. Our water and power facilities provide unique "living laboratories" -- unsurpassed environments for field tests, evaluations, and demonstrations. Find out more about our laboratories and facilities.
Water and Power Managers and Users
Provide ideas and partner with us to solve your problems. To ensure the tools and solutions we develop are needed, practical, and valued, we work with Reclamation water and facility managers and the stakeholders they serve (our end users). This on-the-ground understanding of Western water challenges coupled with our technical expertise, provides an unparalleled forum for water and water-related research and development. However, we need your input. We hold an annual Research Jam to solicit ideas on projects. Contact us with your research needs.
We build partnerships among Reclamation's scientists, project managers, outside experts, and industry to shorten the path between research and its application to address the manifold challenges of water management in the West.
