This effort builds on chapter 6, table 2 of the USGS circular 1331 (pdf 877 M) to:

  • Identify common needs of the Federal and non-Federal water management community
  • Guide and foster research to meet these needs
  • Collaborate to develop, test, and apply new methods, tools and capabilities to meet these needs
  • Use online networking technologies to share updates as we obtain new information and additional perspectives.
